Another long flight behind
Happy to be here
You smile and wave
Starting toward me
Happiness floods my face
We embrace
Crushing each to the other
Becoming one person instead of two
It has been too long
It has been too hard
The time together is too short
Rekindle the reason
Rebuild the fire
Restart the memories
I file it all away in my mind
Each nuance, each word, each touch
To sustain me when I leave
And till we are together again
