like a moth unto the flame
wonderin why when I leave you
you don’t feel the pain
wonderin why I got caught up
in this crazy game
wonderin why I told you
my feelings I proclaimed
wonderin why my heart hurts
a feeling that’s inane
wonderin how I got here
and if you are to blame
wonderin why my thoughts
can not be reclaimed
wonderin why I love you
when you’ll never feel the same
