when you think it's all figured out
you are wrong most of the time
you think it's all going smoothly
finally getting what you need
then you turn that corner
and things aren't what they seemed
you were that sure of me
you should have thought again
I'm stronger than you know
smarter than I was then
no such thing as a sure thing
be thrown a curve everytime
nothing in your back pocket
