absorption

I lived in your darkness
cavernous as it was
all the while,
you absorbed my light
dimming me,
I couldn't see
this was so
I stumbled, blindly
trying to find my path
back to the way it was,
the way I was
without letting go...
the fatal blow
to keep meandering
trying to see
inside your shroud
