Can’t make a thing come true
Can’t bypass any process
Can’t make broken renewed

Wishing doesn’t speed things up
Doesn’t fill the empty heart
Doesn’t make me feel any better
Doesn’t help me on my part

Wishing is a method
A plethora of ways
To make it seem quite possible
To will you here to stay
