we've been friends
for so many years
shared lots of laughter
shed many tears
told each other stuff
for only our ears
coached, when we needed
raised glasses in cheers
you are my Thelma
and I'm your Louise
and when we're together
there's never unease
seems like we've always been
thick as thieves
always fun
up one of our sleeves
whether near
or miles apart
you are buried
deep in my heart
counting on you
right from the start
you my dear friend
are a true work of art!
